Lifting the Veil: Vintage Veils and Where to Find Them

As I approached my wedding date - I'm talking a week and a half before - I decided I wanted a different veil. The one I had originally purchased was beautiful, but I felt like I needed something with a twist, something that couldn't be found in a bridal boutique.
I decided to hop on to Etsy to see what I could drum up. I did have to sift through many drop-shippers that pretend to have vintage items but in reality sell mass produced inventory. I eventually found a few cool sellers but had to narrow down from their stock. My veil needed to be (1) white/not stained yellow from age, (2) intact with no tears, as I was running out of time, (3) long, and (3) old-school. I was instantly drawn to the veil I ended up wearing. It had a pillbox hat feel but had a long veil attached to it. The lace detail made it extra special.
Being a frequent flyer at many antique stores, I see wedding veils/headware often. I had never really paid much attention before but now they excite me. The ones I see are often yellowed or not in the style that I had originally looked for, but I know they would be treasure to another thrifty girl. Browsing the different vintage options online is so fun. You see some really different options, but I somehow still love them all.
I went through seller "SwingDecades" and she was so kind + had other great options. If you happen to buy from her, let her know I loved my veil so much I sent others her way! I've compiled more headwear options below with links (I don't receive any commission)
Cheers,
Lily
